Day 39 After a last copious breakfast including self fished and prepared tasty fishes from the nearby lake, I had to leave Punkaharju Gasthaus and its friendly owner couple.
I had not set up a navigation route for the day and started heading north toward Koli under drizzling rain.
In Kerimäki, I stopped to visit the world largest wooden church and had a chat with a Finnish tourist, who wondered about my cycle tour. Rain had stopped, but it was still cloudy.
In the afternoon, weather became better and it was warm again as I decided to stop for the night on Kokinsaari island. At 2am, my sleep was disturbed by two loud chatting men returning for a boat tour on lake Käsämänsalmi. After a while they left it was quiet again.
